I turisi prendono il sole sulla spiaggia - The tourists sunbathe on the beach.
Not today they don't. I think I mentioned in the last blog or two how much we enjoy waking up to sunny mornings in Vedano. Well, this morning I woke up to the sound of crashing thunder and heavy rain. I love it! I love a good thunderstorm. Unfortunately, my morning bike ride did not take place. I'm not hardcore enough to enjoy being soaked and having to dodge lightning!
Katrina had her Italian lesson this morning. Brandon spent some time working on his Tasha scrapbook. I spent time figuring out a new recipe for dinner tonight. Then Brandon and I headed to Auchan to get a few groceries and to pool our money together for Wii MarioKart!
Brandon and I had fun trying out our new Wii MarioKart game. So much more fun than the basic games the console came with.
I spent some time sweeping and mopping floors this afternoon, before Rosella arrived for our Italian lessons. I also booked a hotel room near the airport for our Amsterdam trip, since our flight leaves at 7:15am.
I wish to thank Michelle for our latest delivery of Crystal Lite. Brandon and I appreciate it greatly!! Thanks to Becky for bringing my Father's Day gift that Katrina ordered for me. I love it.
Watched stage 4 of the Tour de France while Brandon and Rosella took a walk during his Italian lesson. Just as Astana took to the course, Rosella and Brandon returned from their lesson with gelati for the three of us. I had to turn the TV off for my lesson...hmmfff.
My lesson was a bit harder today. We switched gears and started talking about past tense. Oh my! Isn't the past in the past and can't we leave it there....lol. My brain had a tough time, but I'll get there.
It looks like Lance and the Astana team did well, since they hold 7 of the top 20 places. First place in the team time trial.
I made Risotto ai Funghi, Piselli, e Salsiccia for dinner - risotto with mushrooms, peas and sausage. It was great. We have really like all the rosotto dishes I have made so far. I think the secret is using white wine!
All three of us spent the evening playing MarioKart. How fun!!
