About Me

I am a 45 year husband and dad, currently adjusting to life back in the United States after living in Italy for a little over two years. I love spending time with my family, cycling, model railroading, mosaics and watching TV and movies.

Thursday - Giovedi

Il bar Moka e' sempre pieno di stanieri - The Moka cafe' is always packed with foreigners.

Its a sunny morning in Vedano. Today's forecast: sun and clouds, high 31c.

Brandon and Katrina just left for school. Brandon has 5 1/2 days left, counting today.

Katrina has her Italian lesson this morning. I usually take the car and run some errands, but I'm not quite sure what to do or where to go today. I ended up spending a few hours working on logistics for our July vacation to Amsterdam and Germany. Right now it looks like we will fly to Amsterdam and stay a few days, take the trains to Bacharach in the Rhine Valley of German and stay a few days, take the trains to Munich and stay a few days, then take the train to Milano.

Speaking of trains. I remembered these photos taken inside the Monza Autodromo a few weeks ago. The street car is a bank outlet and the steam locomotive is on display in one of the courtyards. I wanted to get a nice side view of the steam locomotive but the area was full of RV's, so I had to settle for a shot of the front through a fence.

Brandon and I went outside to shoot the bow & arrow he bought on his school field trip Monday. It broke on the 10th shot. They have cheap toys in Italy too!

We had meatballs with gravy, lingonberry sauce and fries for dinner.
