Its a glorious Wednesday. The forecast calls for sunny skies and a high of 23c (76 degrees).
I walked over to Supermarcato Punto to find some farro (spelt) for the recipe I am making for dinner tonight. Katrina and I also spent the morning looking at options for upcoming holiday weekends and vacations. This weekend we plan to stay close to home. I think we will take the bus into downtown Monza on Saturday to enjoy an early Mother's Day lunch. On Sunday Mike, Brandon and I are going to the World Super Bike Championships at the Autodrome.
I finally received confirmation for my Italian instruction here in Italy. I will have class with the same instructor as Katrina and Brandon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mine will follow immediately after Katrina's, from 11:15 - 1:30.
I spent part of the afternoon looking for hotel rooms in Venice...again. I am trying to find something for the weekend of the 30th. Brandon has a 4 day weekend due to Republic Day. Katrina has vacation days she can use. We shall see what I find...
I found what promises to be a great room in Venice for the last weekend of May. We will be staying for two nights at the Alloggi Barbaria.
This evening Mike came over for dinner and to do his laundry. I made Insalata di Farro for dinner - farro salad. We enjoyed some wine, olives and Wii. After dinner we hurried over to our local Gelattaria. Yummy stuff. Weight Watchers....hmmmmm??
While cooking dinner this evening Brandon and I enjoyed a brief chat with the Noel's on Skype. Beckett, we missed seeing you.
I'll end todays blog with a personal appeal: We cannot find any sort of drink mixes here in Italy. We like several flavors of Crystal Lite. Not finding it. Not finding Kool Aid, lemonade, or any sort of aid. If you find it in your heart to help us out by sending some sort of drink mix packets, who knows what Italian goodies may find their way to you when we come back for a visit?!?!
