Tuesday is Italian Day

I had a hard time waking up this morning. The forecast for today in Vedano: a blend of sun and clouds, high of 25c. Do you remember the equation to convert to fahrenheit?

Katrina walked Brandon to school, as she usually does. Today is picture day at school. This will be Brandon's second picture day since he already did it in the fall in Corvallis.

Katrina had her Italian lesson first, so I ventured over to Auchan to pickup some grocery items. I stocked up on a few items and found an interesting section in the meat department. I missed this section on earlier shopping trips....equine meat (horse meat). I didn't know they ate horse meat here. It has a very rich dark red color. I'm told it is a very sweet meat. I'm not sure if I will try it.

My Italian class began at 11:15am. It was a pretty good class, although it made me feel like a 4 year old. We looked through some picture books that Brandon will be using. It makes you feel like a child, yet the books are full of pictures and basic vocabulary. We also worked on verbs today.

Brandon's Italian class went pretty well as well. He was more interested and not as tired today. The instructor bought a few Italian childrens books that were good for Brandon to read and learn from.

This evening we had an American dinner - hamburgers and fries.
