Benvenuto Picnic

We attended the Benvenuto Picnic this afternoon at an old villa in Parco di Monza, the same place it was held last year.

The picnic was fun, but it seemed like there weren't quite as many people as last year. Maybe the weather had something to do with it?

We enjoyed a big spread of food: hot dogs, chips, salads, pastas, meats, cheeses, and several breads. There was also wine, beer and soda. After lunch, brownies seemed to be the popular treat, although there were many other tasty desserts as well.

Brandon ran by occasionally while we chatted and ate.

Brandon had a great time playing with friends and running around the property. The kids also enjoyed breaking pinatas for candy.

Unfortunately, the location of the picnic was very near the main straight of the Autodromo, and there were races today. GT Cup races, and they were loud. Loud enough that it was difficult to hear people talk sometimes.

It's been much more natural for us to be social in the past few months. I think we are really starting to feel comfortable here in the community. We've were told many times that it takes a good year to reach a truly comfortable point. I guess it did.
