Music Program

Italian phrase: La bellezza delle donne italiane e' apprezzata in tutto il mondo. - The beauty of Italian women is appreciated all over the world.

Todays forecast: occasional rain and drizzle, high 24c.

After arriving home at 11:45pm again last night, Katrina was up early and out the door for work by 8am. She is working early today so that she can come home in time for Brandon's Choir Concert at 2:30. Its only my second day of walking Brandon to school since we arrived in Italy.

I walked over to Supermercato Punto to pick up a few groceries this morning. In Italy I seem to do two things more than ever before: 1) Grocery shop every few days, and 2) Laundry almost every day.

I'm amazed at how dirty our tile floors get each week. I'm not sure why everything gets so much dirtier here? I'm also amazed at how much Stevie sheds. I guess his hair blended a bit more at our house in Corvallis. I also spent some time cleaning the bathrooms.

Brandon's choir program was at 2:30 this afternoon. The program was put on by the 3rd - 5th grades. They sang Jamaica Farewell, Bam Chi Chi Bam, Fie Nay Prithee John, Let It Be, and a few others. A few kids played recorders and several 5th graders played two songs on guitars. The kids did a great job. Brandon did an excellent job, especially since he started learning the songs so late in the school year.

It actually started raining during our walk home from school. We are supposed to get rain and thunderstorms all weekend. Brandon's school parent organization planned to hold it annual 'End of Year' picnic this evening, but it was postponed until next Friday.

I made Rissotto agli Zucchini for dinner tonight. We also enjoyed some white wine. Actually, I enjoyed a couple glasses of white wine since Katrina doesn't like dry wine. The recipe called for dry white wine, so I decided to drink some as well.

Katrina is working on her computer this evening. Brandon is writing postcards to Makenna. I just cleaned the dishes and am thinking about watching TV or a movie this evening.

I just watched the new Matt Nathanson video for Falling Apart. What a great song!

There was a break in the rain, so Brandon and I walked across the street for some gelato - amarena and fruti di bosco for me, fragola and siscialiana for Brandon. Katrina wasn't interested in gelato this time.
