Model Trains and the Cedar Avenue Blues Band

Today was another hot day in Colorado.  In the afternoon it hit 102!

After a breakfast of quiche and fruit, we headed out to meet Katrina's brother Ryan for lunch at a BBQ restaurant.  We arrived early, so we hit Target and wandered around for awhile.

It was good to see Ryan.  It's been awhile.  After lunch, we wandered through a nearby sporting goods store.  Ryan bought Brandon a bow and arrow set.  Brandon was very excited and couldn't wait to try it out.

Katrina took off with Ryan for the afternoon.  Ryan plays drums for the Cedar Avenue Blues Band and they wanted Katrina to take some promo pics for them.

Brandon and I headed to Mizell Trains in Westminster.  It's a pretty good model train shop with better than average prices.  I ended up buying a few things for my new layout.

This evening we headed back over to the photo shoot, which was taking place at a Cab depot, to pickup Katrina.  Ryan ended up coming with us up to Mike and Vic's to hang out and enjoy some pizza and beer.
