School Picnic then off to Lugano

It's Friday morning. I've been having trouble sleeping this week, but last night I finally had a good night.

I spent the morning doing laundry and packing for our weekend trip to Lugano, Switzerland. I also had to walk Brandon's lunch to school. I forgot to make it this morning. I tried to get a haircut, but my barber was not open. I also tried to send some mail, but the post office was not open either?? It's not a holiday...hmmm? We've been having some strikes lately. I wonder....but we did get mail at our apartment...oh the mystery.

This afternoon I did some more planning for our Switzerland and England trips. I need to start putting together all the final details for our Croatia trip. It's coming up in two weeks.

We walked over to Jody's for granitas after school today. Jody's was very busy today. Brandon and I tried to get haircuts, but our barber had 4 people before us, so we made an appointment for Tuesday. We stopped at 'our' gelateria on the way home to pickup a plate of cookies for the school picnic this evening.

This evening was Brandon's school picnic. We had a nice time chatting with some of the other parents while Brandon ran crazily around the playground with his friends. I guess we were having a pretty good time because we lost track of time. We needed to be in Lugano by 10pm to check into our hotel. We finally realized it was almost 9pm, so we made a dash for the car and headed out.

We finally arrived in Lugano around 10:30, after calling the hotel to tell them we would be late. The night man let us in and gave us a key to our room.
