About Me

I am a 45 year husband and dad, currently adjusting to life back in the United States after living in Italy for a little over two years. I love spending time with my family, cycling, model railroading, mosaics and watching TV and movies.

Rainy Sunday

We had a lazy day at home today. Brandon and I had plans to go for a morning bike ride, but we woke up to rain. Riding in the rain is ok and tolerable, but when you add that with cleaning your bike afterward, its not all that fun.

So, we hung out in the house. Brandon played Legos. Katrina worked on her photos and other computer activities. I played on my laptop and watched TV.

Late in the morning Brandon decided he wanted to ride his bike in our underground parking garage, so I went downstairs with him. He's getting comfortable with his new bike pretty quickly. He did laps around the garage for about 30 minutes.

We finally had a break from the rain this afternoon, so Brandon wanted to ride his new bike. We got ready, installed one of my old computers on his bike and headed across the street into Parco di Monza. The roads were pretty wet and the paths in the park were covered in wet moss and other debris from the trees. It was a messy ride, but we had fun spinning across the park and back. Brandon is taking to his new bike pretty quickly. He's pretty fast. He'll keep me on my toes once we start going for longer rides.
