Brandon has Sports Day at school today. I volunteered to help run two different activities, the bean bag toss and the frisbee throw.
The school divides the teams into four colored "houses". Brandon was assigned to the green team. The teams moved around the activities, earning points for their team. Last year Brandon's team took first place. This year his team took second place.
The teams wait for the event to begin
The 'Red' team awaits instructions
Bean bag toss
The kids wait to hear the official points tally. (Brandon is in the middle)
The yellow team wins Sports Day!
What a handsome boy!

Sports Day finished up in the early afternoon. I headed home to finish packing and get ready to leave. Katrina worked from home today, so she was ready to go.
Spotted this cool little Fiat in Vedano as I was walking home. We will be acquiring a similiar car when we return to Corvallis, but in red.
We picked up Brandon after school and headed to Malpensa to catch our flight to Barcelona. Leaving at 4pm would get us to the airport early, but we would miss rush hour which might make us late.
When we arrived at the aiport, our flight did not have a scheduled gate. We were hungry for dinner, so we found a cafe. After dinner, our flight still did not have a gate. We found some comfy seats in the terminal and waited, and waited. Finally, about an hour before our flight, a gate was assigned.
Just about the time we should have started boarding, the monitors suddenly listed the flight as cancelled! What the heck!!
We made our way...long way...out of the terminal and up to the check in desks. While waiting in line, Katrina called the EasyJet reservation line and was able to figure out that flights for Saturday were full, but we could fly out first thing Sunday morning.
So...we headed back to JetPark, picked up our car and headed back home. We also had to call the hotel in Barclona to let them know we wouldn't arrive until Sunday.
We were bummed, but we managed it well. We never did get an explanation about the cancellation.
