On Our Way to Nice

After Brandon's assembly, we left for our weekend in Nice. Nice is located about 3 1/2 hours southwest of Vedano, on the Mediterranean coast of France - the French Riviera.

We arrived in Nice around 8pm. We are staying at Hostel Villa Saint Exupery. It is located up on a hill overlooking Nice and is about a 20 minute tram ride to the old city and beach. This place is great. It's an old converted monestary. They serve a free breakfast and offer fantastic dinners for a small fee - 6.50 euro. Most of the people staying here are college students. We met and chatted with a few American college girls who are doing semesters of school in Florence and in Spain.

We booked a private room with a private bath. After getting settled, we headed downstairs to the lounge for some dinner. The cook offers three choices: the entree of the night, pizzas made to order, or salad. They also have a full bar with 1 euro beers.

Brandon had a pizza. Katrina and I had the BBQ ribs with salad and potatoes. Wow! They were fantastic. I haven't had ribs that good in a long time.

After dinner we headed up to the room to read and go to bed. Tomorrow we will explore Nice.
