Long Bike Ride

Katrina had an early meeting at work this morning, so I walked Brandon to school. As part of Reading Together Week at school, the kids were asked to dress up as their favorite character from a book. We weren't sure what to do, then came up with a simple idea. Brandon dressed up as Harry Potter. He put on some glasses, I drew a scar on his forehead and he pulled out his Quiditch book to carry around.

I went for a bike ride a little earlier today. Lately I've been leaving the house around 11am or noon. Today I felt as if I needed to get moving or I might not go at all. I'm glad I went. I ended up riding 70 km to Lecco and back. On the way home I was chased by rain clouds, but I won, they never caught me. It did't start raining until almost 4pm, about 3 hours after I arrived home. This was the longest ride on my new bike so far. My goal for 2010 was to double the mileage of 2009. As of today, I predict I will reach 2009's mileage sometime in April.

Brandon had a good day at school today. He seems to be enjoying school and is doing really well. I'm very proud of him.

Tonight I made fish and chips for dinner. Very tasty! Brandon ate the extra fillet.
