Brandon had a really hard time waking up this morning. He was very quiet and wouldn't eat his breakfast. We talked and hugged, then I offered him a chocolate croissant and told him that Katrina had an email waiting for him. That perked him up. I hope he has a good day. He has a short week of school, since he had Monday and Tuesday off for the holiday.
I went for a chilly but sunny bike ride this morning, riding my usual route to Lurago di Erba and back, 40km. I felt pretty good considering I haven' ridden since Friday. It is a beautiful sunny day in northern Italy. I had a gorgeous view of the snow covered Alps for the first half of my ride. One of my goals is to ride in the Alps next summer. I'd love to climb one of the famous Tour de France climbs. I'll have to do a lot of training to accomplish that, but I can do it if I set my mind to it. One step to reaching this goal will be to kick the Coke habit...
I know I have said this before, but I really need to figure out how to cut the Coca Cola out. I'm struggling with this 'addiction'. I drink more than I ever have since we moved to Italy. I need to replace it with water, or at least Crystal Lite. Do I cut it out completely or do I save it for eat outs only, therefore allowing me to still enjoy it (maybe even more since it would be a treat). Help me, I'm a Coke addict...lol!
I drove over to Iper this afternoon. It is a large supermarket with a small department store area. I've driven by it many times and never stopped to investigate. It's a nice store, but I will stick with Auchan for convenience and already knowing how its laid out.
Brandon had Aikido after school today. Today was test day. He earned the 9th Kyo level. Honestly, I'm not sure what that means, but he has a long way to go until he earns a white belt. I ordered his Kimono today, so he should have it when class resumes in January.
Brandon just found a collection of toy mice and a few ornaments from our tree. They were in a pile under our bed. I just love cats! We just realized we are missing a little reindeer and have yet to find it.
Brandon and I enjoyed some Tom & Jerry before he took a shower and headed to bed.
Another great day in Italy.
Patrick!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried to limit your cokes to one a day?
It the coke bottled in Europe or the US?
Coke use to have a very small amount of a drug in it from which it's name was dirived from! I am just wondering if it is bottled in Europe if it still has the drug in it?
