Orange and Red Pants

Its Sunday. The forecast today calls for sunny skies and a high of 24c.

Brandon and I just ran our slot cars around the track a few times. Katrina and I ran a few races against each other.

Its a lazy Sunday at home. Katrina is working on sorting through more of her Venice pictures. Brandon built a fort with blankets and pillows in the living room. I have been busy doing random things.

There is an interesting fashion phenomenon in Italy. Men in red, orange and even yellow pants. Usually, they are jeans, but sometimes they are cargo pants, docker style pants or even dress pants. I saw one man with a very expensive suit on in Venice. He had a navy blazer with yellow dress pants and a yellow tie. Very bold. I wish I had a picture, but its hard to take discreet pictures of fashion.

Brandon and I went down to Parco di Matteotti for a little while this afternoon. It was a busy little playground. Brandon loves to swing.

We all decided to take a walk into Parco di Monza. We entered the gate on Matteotti and walked through the park towards the playground near the Autodrome. The park was full of families barbecueing and just enjoying the beautiful day. We walked through Vedano on the way home, stopping at Gelateria Jody for gelato. We also tried to find a pizzaria in our neighborhood, one that Katrina saw an advertising sign for. We found it on a side street, but it was closed today.

I ended up cooking dinner. We had spinach tortellinis with pecorino pomodoro, steamed brocolli and red wine.

  1. One bottle of wine per week. That's pretty good!
