About Me

Happy 150th Italy! Green, White & Red

Today is a holiday in Italy.  The Italian government declared a one-time holiday in honor of the 150th anniversary of unification.

We spent the morning at home with the idea that we would head into Milan this afternoon.

The sidewalks of Italy still have remnants of Carnevale

We stopped at our neighborhood Chinese restauarant, Fahau for lunch before catching the Metro into Milan

I must always post a picture of the Duomo when we visit Milan

Piazza del Duomo was very busy with people out enjoying the day off

Love these city bikes

Italian colors

Spring time is showing at the Duomo

Many window displays were coordinated in green, white and red

Another view of the Duomo

Information displays about the 150th

This streetcar was painted in green, white and red under the lights

We had a great afternoon in Milano.   It was cloudy, but it never rained on us.  Tomorrow its back to school and work...but only for 1 day!

PS - Happy St Patrick's Day
